About a week ago, I synced my wife's 1st generation iPad to the iTunes library on her iMac. Previously, the iPad was synced with the iTunes library on her former Windows 7 computer.
During the act of changing library changes, iTunes reported there wasn't enough space. I thought this was strange in that the library (music, video, images and apps) only accounted for ~10GB of the iPad's 16 GB storage.
A few days after syncing, the wife opened up Safari and went out to a local traffic reporting website. The web page's background image didn't load, and instead a tiny repeated image with the letters KLM appeared.
We ignored this, but in the back of my mind I remembered the last OSX upgrade produced this image, which supposedly was not present if one chose the OSX combination upgrade--which I did.
Now it appears that the music compiled on the iPad is messed up. Some tracks are greyed out as to not be accessible, and cover art is no longer matching with the correct albums.
My only though about how to go about fixing this issue is to delete all music, images, videos and apps, performing a factory reset, and then re-syncing it with the library on the iMac. Any other alternatives I should consider?
