I recently moved into a condo in Chicago where a Beosystem 1 was installed. A Beomaster 6500 and control panel was in a box in the closet.

I hate to put it out with the trash since it looks to be in excellent condition...hence I am bothering to try to find someone who will pay the freight cost from Chicago USA to take it off my hands. I hate to see such a nice piece of hardware go to waste, either for a B&O devotee to use or for spare parts.

Where is this forum based? USA or Europe? I could not tell.

Any ideas of how I can reach other forums in the USA if this one is not in the states?

Thanks in advnace for any help anyone can provide?

Mel

Hi, Mel... Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for not just throwing the stuff away. There's almost certainly somebody how would want it.

If you just want rid of it, have you tried posting it on Craigslist? I would think you'd have no problem whatsoever giving it away in Chi-town - it's a huge market. There are probably a few B&O nuts that would love to pick it up for free.

I happen to be driving through today, and again next week... But, I definitely don't need any more stuff. Laughing

Thanks for the heads up, Curt.

But I'll pass on it. Once you get one of those, you have to get all the other matching components with it.

This one is best put on Craigslist. That unit is worth a couple hundred to someone.

Jeremy,

It is yours but I cant see how to reply directly...

If you can send me your email to maxmeg99@gmail.com to keep it private, I can weigh the unit tomorrow and should be able to ship it later in the week, once I get the shipping cost from you.

Thanks !
