|
|
I just received my 3d VIP theater. I connected it like this:
Vizio 3d bluray>>>>>6ft hdmi>>>>3d theater>>>>6 ft hdmi>>>>>pioneer plasma (input 7)
When I turn on the equipment, I get a red power and link light on the 3d theater, and I get a perfect picture on the pioneer. As soon as the 3d video begin, the picture goes black, so I press the "P1" button on the 3d theater, then the 3d light on the 3d theater and the power and link lights all light up, but the picture is still black.
Anything else I can try? I have the monster 3d rf glasses, and the emitter has 5 green lights until the 3d content begins, and it drops to two.
Help please!

Yes. When I connect my DirecTV HR 21 Pro and go to a 3D channel, I can get it to work. Could it be a problem with my blu ray player? I went into the menu and set it to 720p.

Dont set it to 720p. Set it to "Automatic" or something that doesn't force a certain setting.
Are you using the powe cable? From the manual:
If you get “NO SIGNAL”, “UNSUPPORTED SIGNAL’’ or a similar message, make sure your USB cable is connected to the wall connector with 5V power. Converter may not be getting enough power via USB connected to the other device.
How is your DIP switch 1 set? From the manual:
You are getting no signal message and your box is connected to a display at 120Hz. Change Dip Switch #1 to down position, remove USB cable from the back of the box, plug it back in after 5 seconds and see if you get the picture. If you do, the television is not true 120Hz and operates at 60Hz (regardless of marketing material/product specifications)
Can you tell me the status of the lights? From the manual:
7- All Three lights are not ON, your connections are bad. Unplug all cables and reconnect them.
8- Only POWER light is ON, unplug and re-plug HMDI cables from both devices and the convertor
9- 3D light is not ON, check to make sure you have 3D contents
10- Emitter lights are not on, unplug and plug 3-pin DIN connector
Last but not least, the P1 button to manually switch between 3D content types cycles between the multiple content types. You have to press it more than once before you get to the right content type.
What model Vizio bluray player is it? You're sure it supports 3d?

Follow Kal's recommendations. The Pioneer manual for your set did not have detailed specifications
for the maximum refresh rate. In that case for now set Dipswitch#1 DOWN (60HZ), and all others UP.
Only use P1 to advanced through top-to-bottom and side-by-side 3D content which will merge them into
one 3D video image. The last press goes back to normal frame pack mode or power down the Theater.
If you get a normal 3D image from the BluRay player but it just doesn't quite look right, then you
will need to enable/disable one at a time the various video enhancement options in your Pioneer. Things
like "smoothing" and noise reduction. There appeared to be plenty of settings in there that MIGHT cause an
issue with 3D video frames.
If you get a good 3D image but it lacks depth, just flip your glasses over temporarily to reverse lenses, if
depth increases, then you will need to do a polarity reversal at the transmitter. See the RF glasses doc.
Also read about the Tuning Modes for the RF glasses, if you have ghosting you will need to make adjustments
to eliminate it. There are also "Stickies" in this forum that may help as well.

It can be done with the joystick in the old documentation but that is the main reason we wanted
a firmware change in the transmitter that made it easier. This link should help and look at some
of the other stickies if necessary.
