Sorry if this seems like a strange application, but I need a way to extract a 120Hz sync signal from a 1080p24 frame packed source (3D Blu-ray). The Displayer, if I understand it correctly, can output a VESA standard sync signal at 120Hz when hooked to a 1080p24 3D source. We have a 120Hz 3DTV that has a non-functional 3D sync port, and one idea to get it working would be to split the incoming video so that one would go to the Displayer and the other to the TV. Since both devices would be frame locked to the source, the sync output from the Displayer should also work for the TV. We already have the Bit Cauldron emitter so we can adjust the phase to compensate for delay differences between the two displays.

So, two questions come to mind:
1. Does the Displayer output 3D sync when no display is attached?
2. Can the Displayer output 120Hz without having to read the display's properties (EDID) since no display will be attached?

Thanks for any help!

I think this is something only the designers of the hardware would know since the only way to test it would be to connect a 'scope or something up to some of the HDMI output pins to see what the box does when a 'normal' display isn't connected to it.
