In the past I have always used a video processor as my switcher between source devices and my 9500LC. Currently, I'm running a Samsung BD player straight into the Moome card on the PJ. The PJ was set up and dialed in based on the BD player.

If I want to use a Cablevision set top box to run HD cable into the PJ without a VP like the Radiance as the switcher, I imagine there will be issues with sizing adjustments. Normally with the Marquee one would set up separate channels for different source devices/resolutions but since my cable box displays multiple resolutions (SD, 720P, 1080i, etc.) how do I manage this effectively without a video processor?

Thanks,

Justin

The moome card has two separate inputs correct?

then leave the memory for the BD player as is and just make a a new recall for each resolution on the same input.

So say you have the BD player in input 2 recall 1 then have each of the next resolutions be input 2 recall 2, input 2 recall 3 etc.

The BD player is on input 2 I believe (the input on the right). If I hook up the cable box to input 1 and then set the recall memories for the respective resolutions when I change the TV station will the recall with the correct resolution, size, etc. be selected or will I have to do that manually?

You can set up ASR which is auto select but it never works that well especially with resolutions that are fairly close.

I would just set up re calls or channels for each resolution and switch it via remote.

So basically I would need both the TV remote and Marquee remote in my hands at the same time...every time I switch the TV channel I would then have to select the recall with the corresponding resolution on the Marquee. One more reason I really need a Radiance...and yes I know the CMS is bad ass:-)

Cant you set your Cable box to output only one resolution to make a bit easier?

Okay, just picked up new HD cable box today and after fooling around with it was able to set resolution to 720P. The HDMI cable is still being connected to input 2 on the Moome card, so all I did on the other end was disconnect the HDMI cable from my BD player and transfer it to the cable box.

The image has black bars on the left and right and is not converged properly. I'm sure that is probably due to the difference in scan frequencies.

This next question might be a dumb one but I rather be safe than sorry. Is it possible to assign multiple scan frequencies to the same input? Is that not the benefit of recall memories?
