Searching for creative ideas as to how I can conceal speaker cables running along the baseboard in my theater. Has anyone ever tried to construct a faux baseboard to solve this problem?
I found this: http://cableorganizer.com/surface-raceways/latching.html but I’m not sure if it’s a very elegant solution.

Just get some baseboard that comes off the wall a little bit. If you have carpet you can also just do a corner tuck if there's only 1 or 2 runs, or get under-carpet flat wire and do it that way. The surface raceways are pretty ugly, IMO. If you have a lot of wire, you can pull the baseboard, cut the sheetrock and drill through the studs and just pull the wire normally, then just get large enough baseboard to cover the mess, or use the stuff you had if it's large enough. That's just 10 times more work, but if you have a lot of wire, you're gonna have to get it in the wall somehow.

I used recycled wood out of pallets myself to conceal my cables...

We have compressed fibreboard skirting/baseboard here, which is easy to cut or trim to fit bigger cables.
In our Master bedroom, I was able to get a HDMI cable, cat6 cable, IR figure8 cable, and a power cable behind, just......
Cheers
Steve

Don't forget that there's also flat speaker wire available from a number of manufacturers.
