I saw that. I tried to order from Moome's site, but the order page did not have the Xg card.

Thanks,
Bob

I'd like to connect a reasonable quality blu-ray player to this card and use it for watching hidef and upscaling standard dvds at either 720p or 1080i.

Are there any issues I might expect to see in this situation? Looking back in this thread, I've seen references to image shift and a darkening of the image, both of which seem correctable at the projector.

Also, does anyone know if these cards are shipping yet?

Thanks,
Eric

I emailed moome about the availability of his NEC XG card as the tentative ship date for this batch had been mid-April 2011. He tells me that that this is now mid-May 2011. The order page has been updated to reflect this.

See: http://www.curtpalme.com/NEC_XG-FULLHD.shtm

As always, numbers are limited.

If you mean the "Mike Parker improvements" that are listed for the Sony and Electrohome cards then no, the NEC cards are exactly as described on the order page here: http://www.curtpalme.com/NEC_XG-FULLHD.shtm

HDMI card overstock sale

Moome needs to clear some overstock of HDMI cards for CRT projectors so he has cut prices to blow them out fast.

If you're looking at adding HDMI to your CRT projector, now's the time to do it! An HDMI input is required to use most of the latest sources such as DVD/Blu-ray players, PS3, and satellite/cable.

Some older card versions are also available in extremely limited quantities. While we recommend the latest version for high end 8-9" CRT projectors, with lower end 7-8" units the difference will not be as noticeable so this is a good chance to save a few dollars.

Quantities are limited. First come, first served. For complete details see the respective order pages listed above.

Questions? Post here or email us at Moome@CurtPalme.com

Update: Moome only has 1 NEC XG-FULLHD card left. Once sold out he will not be making any more I'm told as they did not sell well.

If there's enough interest Moome may make another batch. That said, there really hasn't been any interest and this last batch took a long time to sell out.

Anyone interested in seeing this card again should email Moome at moome@curtpalme.com and let him know.
