I'm trying to decide if it is worth putting a commercial soda fountain in my wetbar. I have found a decent source for a variety of complete systems (post mix towers with refrigeration rather than a cold plate) but am wondering if anyone else here has any experience with these units and if so, do you have any advice.
Cheers,
Alan

I don't know if HT and "worth it" should be in the same sentence/paragraph/ballpark!
If you have the source, the money, and the will...DO IT!
I saw a sweet gas station style cappuccino machine on CL the other day and was seriously contemplating it.

I'd love to do it if I had the room... If you have a good source, I'd totally go for it. The only thing I'd do before I pulled the trigger is do a little research on cleaning and maintenance - especially if it isn't used daily.
Last time I was at this sandwich shop not far from home, they had a really cool little single-head fountain, and I was thinking it'd be really cool to mount one or two of those (Coke and Diet Coke?) instead of the giant 4-5 head assembly. But, I'm sure since it's newer, it would cost a small fortune vs. buying one of the older machines - which I don't have anywhere near enough room for.
Go for it!

This should be the first sticky in all HT forums!
