I finally got the gumption to get a hush box and hot air evacuation...and yet, I never use the damn thing. I still watch movies on my 34" xbr tube. I'll consider parting it out if I get interest. The tubes are good, with green showing very, very light but wide and even wear.

Let me know what you're interested in and we can discuss pricing.

It's an XG 1101 LC.

I have the mount, remote...and even a custom hushbox Smile

I would sell the tubes with lc hardware for 400. Tubes with lenses would be 450.

Any pics of the tube faces? Or is it that only the green is showing wear?

i have understood lc is liquid coupled tubes to lenses. are your tubes coupled to your lenses and if so how can you separate them or are you also selling other lenses or am i just mistaken?

LC doesn't mean the lenses are coupled to the tubes as though they can't be taken apart. It's just that in an air-coupled machine, the tube's liquid cooling tank is optically flat. The lens mates to that. In an LC machine, part of the whole lens assembly is attached to the tube's LC chamber - where a piece of flat glass would normally be in an air-coupled machine.

Here's a G70 (liquid coupled, just like XGLC) with the lenses removed:

Notice the lens (called a C-element) in front of the face of the tube.

Here's an air-coupled tube - I think it's an XG:

Notice how there is no lens at all - only a flat piece of glass in front of the tube face.

So, just as Ben is offering, it's entirely possible to sell tubes with LC chamber and c-element attached, and with our without the projection/focusing lenses.

I could sell you the tubes (which include the c-elements) and the lenses. You can't use your existing lenses...as for the chassis, I'm not entirely sure what would be required, but if anything is required, I have it Smile

If your going from AC to LC. You need tubes, chambers, lenses upper and lower mounting brackets and the front cover to make the complete swap. Make sure you have the shipment Insured better safe than sorry.

Gday Benareeno, a good mate of mine would like shots of those tube faces, and if the tubes are kosha, he will make arangements to purchase them for his XG. He wants the LC lenses to go with them. All 3 tubes, all 3 lenses.

He is currently having issues with his internet connection, and that is preventing him from voicing his request himself, hence, i am present merely as a spokesperson.

I will continue to check this thread incase he is unable to read or reply dirrectly, and i will pass on any correspondence as soon as i can to ensure a smooth deal is done.

Cheers.

red and blue are mint...so I will get you a green pic. I took one, but there's a light shining on the tubes, and it just doesn't quite look right.

Do you still have your custom hushbox? I may be interested. Could you post pictures or describe what you have?
