Maybe. Can you take the back off and shoot me/post a pix of the board layout?

If this is an LG made set, the problem could be the buffer chip that is built into the plasma panel, in which case it's not repairable. If this is an LCD, then disregard the previous sentence. Smile

A local is trying to unload it for $75. I was going to offer $20 to play with it...but don't want to if it is toast.

If it is not a common problem it might be best if I spent the money on a few six packs instead.

For $20, grab it. A plasma is more fun than a new 6 packs! (at least to me!) Smile

Best case scenario would be poor connections of the ribbon cable(s).

Next would be X board(s) or logic (controller) board.

And worst would be panel or part(s) directly attached to panel film and not replaceable.

This would apply if the anomaly was also present in the OSD

If not in the OSD then the main board or input board.

I will see if he can take a picture with the OSD on or a source connected to it.

Thanks for the help Mac.

I'd bet money it'll still be there with the OSD on.
