So tell me what's so good about Inception. I thought it was really boring.

I just liked the whole concept of it, the dreaming, not knowing what is real or not. makes you have to think.
Plus I just saw it last night fresh in my mind.

Avatar is 2009.
I saw black swan the other day.. it gets my vote. Haven't seen true grit yet though... and i suppose if you aren't a fan of the directory, you might well hate it.

IMDB lists >7400 titles in their database that were released in 2010. Here is a list. You can sort by a variety of means, but I doubt anyone on this board (or even AV$) has seen 1/10 the list. And looking at the list sorted by US Box Office receipts (thus far) it looks to have been a rather boring year--but that is by box office.

I liked INCEPTION the SECOND time I watched it, The first time was at the local theatre and I went to get popcorn, when I came back
I was lost. A plot inside a subplot inside a dream.

I suspect nobody but professional movie reviewers has seen 1/10th of the list. You'd be watching 2 movies a day, EVERY day, all year long.

Which is why I would have posted "My Favorite ..." or "My Choice for Best" and caveat-ed that I had seen almost none compared to what got released.

Tons of them i wouldn't even consider movies. Many more are foreign language with no subtitles... Might be a few porno/softcore titles in there as well.

Sorry to make this so complicated. The original intent was for people that may have seen a movie that they thought was good to share the title of it with the rest of the group. A debate on what percent of the total number of movies in a database that one may have seen or not was not necessarily what I was after. I haven't figured out if you guys are super geeks or retarded.

There's a whole bunch of good movies from 2010 and I don't even see that many...
How to Train your Dragon,
Despicable me,
Knight and Day,
Legend of the Guardians - The Owls of Gahoole,
The last Airbender (I'm not a purist so don't give a crap about the negativity)
A Christmas Carol - Jim Carey
Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World
Sorcerers Apprentice
Resident Evil Afterlife - Mmmm Mila...

Watched this with the kids, was good but not great. Was a missed opportunity I thought. They had a great story as a foundation which I felt wasn't utilized at all, also the cast and acting was a real let down IMO.
Tis a shame....could've been really up there.
