Samsung c5500. A friend of mine bought two and really likes them. $110 at BB. Plays everything he threw at it on usb as well as streaming apps and DLNA worked great too.

Walmart was selling the LG BD550 for $99 whereas Amazon had it for $94. I believe I read someone that the 530 played mkv files whereas the 550 did not. I just ordered a BD550 as the 'CD' player in the wife's music room. The old Panasonic DVD player finally bit the big one. I see no reason for buying a CD or DVD player when BD players are so dang cheap.

One vote for Samsung over LG. For some reason I could never get the LG unit I had to network properly while the Samsung started right up and is still in use.
I picked up a refurbed 1600 that does Netflix/Pandora/etc. for something like $60-80 from Woot about 5 months ago and it has been flawless for the living room.
