Hi Guys,

iīm wondering of use of the hdmi out and componet out simultanisly from the ps3 to my sony 1272 and to my LCD Screen.
The crt will connect via hdm and the LCD via component out.
I want to use the LCD as a preview so i dont need to turn on the crt every time i just want to play music etc...
The crt is setup to 1080i and the ps3 as well- The LCD is capable of fullhd.
I canīt try this out, because i have to buy the componet cable for the ps3.

Greets

As far as I know you can only pick one output in your video settings.

You can use component for video and use HDMI for sound, but that's doesn't really help you here. You'll need to go into your settings to select component or HDMI each time you want to swap (which doesn't take long).

This simultaneous connection business(component/HDMI video)business is all part of the copy protection garbage that has been implemented in recent years. As previously stated, you can use HDMI audio only and component video out from a BR player to get 1080i video but once you turn on the HDMI video out, it either disconnects the component out totally OR restricts the video out in component to 480i.

One player, although they don't advertise it, that allows simultaneous component/HDMI video out is the Oppo BDP83.
