Happy as Larry: Very happy
Mad as a cut snake : very angry

Sheila : a woman
Walkabout : a walk in the Outback by Aborigines that lasts for an indefinite amount of time

Though I'm not really sure those will help much. Do you use any of those terms in your video Graham? I don't remember? Smile

I find it helps to watch the following movies before watching Graham's calibration disc too:

Priscilla queen of the desert
Crocodile Dundee
Gallipoli
Quigley Down Under
Anything from the Mad Max series

Hey Graham,

Received mine last week, thanks! Watched it a couple of times now, invaluable information for setting up one of these beasts. I am really not looking forward to sticking my hand in a running projector to do the astig, so hopefully mine won't need any adjustment Wink

I've a quick question concerned with raster usage. When I expand out my rasters, I get so far, then the size of the raster just sticks, the pattern inside the raster outline will grow until it gets cropped at the sides of the raster display. The size of my raster is nowhere near as big as the one in the video, I can't get it anywhere near the edges of the tube face.

I know the raster could be bigger, as when I turn on the PJ the warm-up screen fills the tube face nicely, when I jump into setup, either after the warm up period or hitting the PAGE key, the raster jumps back to the smaller clamped raster usage (I"m not feeding the projector any input signal).

Cheers,
Brad.

P.S. One other question, in the video, in looks like Mathew's top fans aren't spinning, how did you accomplish this? As when I run my projector with the top boards propped up, my Fans catch and make an awful noise, making it very hard to the run the projector whilst open.

The raster issue is that you probably have the blanking set inwards. Relook at the blanking section and set it all the way out.

AFAIK the fans on Mathews are working ALL OF THEM. The projector will fault if any of them are not working.

Hey Graham,

That was exactly the problem, I forgot about that button when I did the 128 reset across the board. Embarassed

Strange, the fan thing must be a trick of the camera. After further inspection my PJ came with missing screws on the top fans, bottom left and right, replacing these might fix the fans catching when the lid is open.

Thanks for the quick reply, and also for the excellent DVD.

Cheers,
Brad.

Hopefully the mail hasnt been affected too much by the volcano in Europe.
