I received my green and blue crt tubes with all the hardware from another G70 today. Can I just swap out the tubes and plug and play without switching the hardware?

Thanks

Yes.

But you will need to adjust the electronic astig, colour settings, and maybe even G2 (firmware dependant).

Best is to adjust the 2 pole magnets, but only if you're a tweaker.

I'm not sure if this applies in your case.

It's been said that you can't mix the 'C' blocks. There were at least two versions.

I'm personally running different blocks on my service chassis but that is very short term use.

Thank you for the help. I will keep every response in mind when I work on the unit.

Ok, I didn't assume that C blocks (neckboards) were included. They belong to the projector in my mind.

I assuming coils only.

Sorry if I caused confusion.

Oh no, I have 2 units. One with 1100 hrs and one with 5000 hrs. I am keeping the one with 1100 hrs.

Tubes swapped without any issues. However, the picture is tipped forward in the top right corner. How do I fix this? I tried twisting the H an V on the tubes no change.

Thanks

Need to see pics.

When you say H & V are you talking the six sided bolts with slots? Those are for lens flapping not raster alignment. They will slightly change the raster position on the screen but that's not what they are used for.

Read Brian Hampton's G70 guide before proceeding any further.
