A confirmation for 1080p 72 Hz would be for me the key to upgrade from V1 to V2.

This is with the Moome FULLHD v2 running on my G90. I just set up another client G90 today with the Moome IFB and it is also running 1080p 72Hz. It will work and it will work wonderfully Smile

Now I only need the magic key to run full 1080p 72 Hz with my Radinance XS (and not "only" 817 x 1920 p 72 Hz) and it would be all lights on green for the V2 upgrade of my V1 version.

Lumagen is most likely going to release an XE special addition that is certified to run 1080p 72Hz. Lumagen is also most likely going to offer this as a trade up for those with existing Radiance processors.

I have an early V2 card that was modified by MP to current specs. Pressing "C" on the remote is not received by the card (no red light). Anyone else seeing this and know what's wrong? Do I need to send it back to Moome?

Hi guys!

Effective immediately, Moome has substantially reduced the price on his Sony IFB-FULLHD HDMI 1.3 card. It is now only $349. That's a $61 savings over the old price.

To order see: http://www.curtpalme.com/IFB-FULLHD.shtm

Since Moome has dropped the price on this card it makes me wonder if a newer version is about to be introduced. Anyone willing to reveal any inside knowledge about that.

I don't think Moome will ever release another new version HDMI card and he is just trying to increase his sales volume. This current card provides full bandwidth for 1080p 72Hz and has a very clean signal. It is also 3D ready.

The only thing I can think of as an upgraded version would be one HDMI input, and another HDMI output for pass-through when stacking projectors.

What else can anyone ask for?

If I were Moome and I was going to make a blender "card" I would instead make an external box with one HDMI input and two RGBHV outputs Wink

Personally I have no use for a "blender card". It's hard enough to get one of these projectors setup.
There is always room for improvement.

Hi ya all,

just ordered tha latest moome IFB Board and was just wandering about you writing "It is also 3D ready" ... are you refering
to watching movies with 720p at 120 Hz to use shutter glasses ?
Has anybody watched 3D material over a CRT, and if so which variant ?

Thanks for your reply in advance.

so long

Yes, I am talking about shutter glasses. I think all the card will need to do for 3D is support resolutions and frequencies that will work with 3D.

It looks like 3D will be coming in at 1080p 48Hz off of BD. To properly render 3D I think you will need an even multiple at 2x or 4x of 48 Hz, so I am not sure that 120 Hz will be a good refresh rate for 3D. I am planning to first try 1080i @ 96 Hz. If I don't like that, I will try a custom down rez of 1080 in a progressive flavor.

I sent my IFB-FullHD V2 card back to Moome for an update to meet advertized specifications. Mike Parker had already implimented the BW update but I was still unable to select the 16-235 BBF color space. He is shipping my card back today but there is a $150 charge . I wasn't expecting a significant cost to "fix" the card.

I think it is possible Moome is updating my card to some new specification beyond V2. Either that or he thinks I sent him a V1 card. I've asked Moome to clarify but the language barrier makes communication difficult.

Nashou has hinted there is a blend feature to be introduced. Wonder if that is what Moome is updating my card to. Maybe that useless second HDMI input will now be an output to a second projector.

Just for the record: Communication with Moome is very frustrating due to the language barrier. I imagine he feels the same way.

Craig,

The way I understand how 3D works is a separate image is displayed for each eye. The glasses simply filter the image so you only see one image per eye. Therefore, 48HZ is a 96HZ refresh (2 images @ 48Hz = 96Hz). I understand for 2D, 48Hz is not so good. Maybe our brains will handle the 3D image differently and 48Hz will look okay.

I should be receiving the upgraded card in a couple of days and am interested in your results.
Please keep us posted.

Mr. Moome confirmed my IFB-FullHD V2 card will be upgraded to include the following:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
So you can use remote button “c” to active BBF and 16-235
And we also add manual select input color space:
Button “4” , the IFB will auto select input color space
Button “5”, the IFB will force select YCbCr 444
Button “6”, the IFB will force select YCbCr 422
Button “7”, the IFB will force select RGB 444
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think this reflects what Craig mentioned.

Jimmy,

You told me on the phone that you have a version one card. Moome does not upgrade the v1 to v2 for free. I also told you on the phone that upgrading your card would not be free. So I don't know why you weren't expecting to pay anything. I told you I would do the upgrades for $140 so what Moome charged is in line and he did more than I would have been able to do here at the time that I gave you the quote.

He is not upgrading your card for blending. I also don't find the second HDMI input "useless." I use it all the time for A/B different materials and sources.
