hey mike, everything seems to be working great for 99% of my bluray discs, but i just ran into a couple snags with disney's ratatouille bluray.
anydvd scans and says the disc is fine, and i get it analyzed by your program fine, then come the issues:

1) it shows 3 chapter lists in the results pane, with all the same length with what appears to be the same contents, so i'm just guessing which one to add to batch jobs.

2) after it starts the batch, it runs for a bit, then it just stops with a small pop-up window that only contains the number "1".
no errors are logged (that i can find so far). just that pop-up... i've read somewhere that ratatouille has "seamless branching", could that be the cause?

any help would be great, thanks again!

Whoa...looking good Mike.

The write up in the first post is really helpful.

The only trap-for-the-unwary I can think of is: It can be difficult to get eac3to to use the Arcsoft TMT HD audio decoder filter. I had to register the arcsoft HD audio decoder (use radlight filter manager or similar or command line). You may also need to add the folder with the arsoft filters in to the system path.

Thanks heaps Mike, it's now the premier eac3to gui Smile

Yeah that is a pain...I'm hoping someone soon comes up with a free decoder for DTS-HD....The trial install does seem to work.

Have you had a chance to verified the sleep mode gets blocked?

Thanks for the suggestion on the remuxing to a different drive...It's only taking about 35-45 minutes to rip a disk on my Quad core AMD box....Seamless branching takes a little longer.

still having problems with the ratatouille bluray.
it initially analyzes fine and it shows 3 chapter lists in the results pane, but no matter which one i try to batch (i've tried all 3), when i hit run all, it starts to analyze and then pops up a message saying "unable to detect audio track in default language, please manually select".

then when i hit OK it pops up a window that looks like it should contain a list of audio tracks (there is a box with a header "tracks") but it is empty, and i can't hit OK in that window (i'm guessing it's because i haven't selected an audio track from that box) so i have to hit cancel. which then cancels the entire rip process.

i'm not seeing any error logs being written except for the following, which is in log.txt
C:Program Files (x86)/ACD/Another EAC3to GUI/log.txt:
Code:
eac3to v3.17
command line: "C:\rip\eac3to\eac3to.exe" 1) -log="C:\Program Files (x86)\ACD\Another EAC3to GUI\log.txt"

there are no other logs from this rip, at least that i can find...

any ideas?

Yep...Found the problem, its should be fixed now...Download and install the current build from the main link.

It looks like you are ripping DD/DTS core only...There was a problem with disks that had a RAW audio track when you requested only DD/DTS tracks.

Let me know if it works.

Thanks!

Mike

Mike, I really think you need to transpose your first post here to Doom9.

That's where it really belongs.

Soon you will be the primary reason for visit's to Curt's site Smile

Curt and Kal might like that, I dunno..do they make more money from ads with more traffic?

Lets make sure nothing went wrong with the install...You're running version 0.9.1.2....Is that correct?...Click on Help and About from the menu to get the About dialog?

I just ripped the same movie using FLAC and DD... and it went fine....I used the 1st playlist, the other two have Spanish and French credits. That's the difference.

Here is the log for the run I made with FLAC.

I'm going to add a tool that you can run to check your install of eac3to. You can do it yourself manually by going to a command prompt and running eac3to without any parameters. At a command prompt type c:\YOUR EAC3TO FOLDER\eac3to

Eac3to will respond with it's capablilities...Here are the results from my machine, for fun compare it to yours.

Code:
eac3to v3.17, freeware by madshi.net

- can show information about audio, video, VOB/EVO/(M2)TS and MKV files
- can decode and encode various audio formats
- can remove dialog normalization from AC3, E-AC3, DTS and TrueHD tracks
- can extract AC3 stream from Blu-Ray TrueHD/AC3 tracks
- can extract TrueHD stream from Blu-Ray TrueHD/AC3 tracks
- can extract DTS core from DTS-HD tracks
- can remove DTS zero padding and repair outdated DTS-ES headers
- can apply positive or negative audio delays
- can reduce bitdepth of decoded audio data by using TPDF dithering
- can resample decoded audio data (using SSRC or r8brain)
- can apply/reverse PAL speedup on decoded audio data (SSRC/r8brain)
- can demux video / audio tracks of EVO/VOB/(M2)TS and MKV sources
- can list available titles of Blu-Ray and HD DVD discs
- can extract Blu-Ray and HD DVD chapter information and subtitles
- can mux MPEG2, VC-1 and h264 video tracks to Matroska
- can remove pulldown flags from MPEG2, VC-1 and h264 video tracks

I just got turned on to it. Thank you for the GUI a few problems aside it's working great.

For a long time I have just settled for pdvd7&8, I refused to buy 9. I’m one of those few people that won’t be upgrading in order to bit stream. For a couple of years EAC3TO has been around I could not get the commands down.

Across the Universe was the 1st successful MKV/Flac conversion. A very noticeable difference. I can only guess that this is equal to bit streaming.

The problem I’m having is after anotherea3togui muxes the streams apart and converts to mkv/flac. An error in anotherea3togui stops mkvmerge from completing the operation. I didn’t write down it had something title of the final folder being wrong, I will copy the error on the next pass. When I run mkvmerge manually subtitles are not an option so on the first few I skipped them.

I’m looking for a better player tried zoomplay it was very choppy unwatchable. I’m using nero showtime it seems to work. The audio is on par with zoomplay both were much more detailed than pdvd, musically speaking.

i'm not quite sure, any idea on where to check for sure?
according to the haali site they released a version on 11/01/2009, so i'd assume it's that one since i started using your app after that.

Start>All Programs>Haali Media Splitter>Media Splitter Settings

If you installed any codex packs the config might be inside there.

Mine shows 1.9.42.1

If it's different uninstall the version you have then download, unzip and install this version:
http://www.acdnow.com/AnotherEAC3toGUI/MatroskaSplitter.zip

Also I'm working on some tools to help debug issues like you are having...So if this doesn't fix it, hang in there.

Thanks!
Mike

well, it looks like everything is working fine now.
just made a successful mkv of ratatouille.

what i ended up doing:

- uninstalled shark007 win7 and x64 codecs.
- uninstalled haali
- installed the newest shark007 win7 and x64 codecs and configured them
- noticed that shark was using the v1.9.63.13 of haali, so i installed the version that you posted
- that seemed to change what version the win7 codecs used, but it still lists the newer version in the x64 codec config, and the 1.9.42.1 in the x32 config... i'm no codec expert, so i'm not sure exactly how that is working, best guess is i currently have 2 versions of haali installed, one x32 and one x64
- reran another attempt at ripping ratatouille with your app and success!

let me know if you want any other info on what i did or have installed to help with the debugging/dev process, but i think that's all i did.
thanks much!
