I have been watching these beauties for the past few days. First there are the completely un-restored versions on the discs as well as the Enhanced versions. I must say to my surprise I like the enhanced stuff better. The enhancements are not like what Lucas did to Star Wars. They are small things, like the dialog says we're over plant so and so , and on the original there is no planet, or a green blob that represent a planet. On the Enhanced version there is a nice clean planet below the Enterprise.

On the note of the Enterprise, man what a nice job of making it stand out. The NCC-1701 is bold and black, the side running lights are easily seen, and the aft deck's number of 1838 [I think] is easy to see. The red striping is clean on the sides and the deck plates variations of color are great. The Nacelles are incredibly detailed as well. Really good stuff.

Some minor things I don't like is that they have changed colors of some of the effects, I understand you want to enhanced the view of thrusters on the shuttles, but it was RED in the original, and they made it GREEN in the enhanced version. Why?

Hashbrowns for sure [small potatoes] Wink , but over all I really dig these Blu's. Mr. Green

A great edition for the Trek fan or any Sci-fi Geek.

I currently only have season one, I agree they are a lot of and look really great. I too like the redux better. Watching them its hard to believe they are 44 year old.
