|
|
Hi everyone!
Time to have a Club Membership drive, and because we're feeling festive, until December 31, 2009 we've cut the price in half! $10 per year instead of $20.
Sign up for as many years as you like. Each $10 automatically adds one year to your membership (view the Club Membership page any time to see your membership status).
Club Member benefits:- No ads at all.
- Access to the private Club Members Forum.
- Increased file attachment space for private messages (from 2mb to 50mb).
- Increased file attachment space for forum posts (from 20mb to 200mb).
- Ability to add your projector and equipment info to your profile page.
- Your projector info is shown in all your posts for quick reference by others.
- The title 'Club Member' added to all your posts.
- A 'Recent Posts' list is added to the main page for quicker access to new posts.
- Access to a new 'View All Recent Topics" page making it easier to see what's new across multiple forums.
- Your avatar displayed on the main page along with quick links to frequently used items.
- Ability to turn off the word censor so that swear words are not censored.
- Access to a new 'Watched Topics' page where you can manage your watched topics.
Access to the new "Printer Friendly" tool for printing entire threads quickly and easily.
- And last but not least: The warm and fuzzy feeling that you help support the forum built by CRT projector & home theater enthusiasts exclusively for CRT projector & home theater enthusiasts!
Visit the Club Membership page at any time to view your current status or extend your membership (an extra year is added every time you sign up).
Membership funds collected are used to help defray the cost of running our dedicated server, performing maintenance, and installing new forum features.
Thank you all for your support! We're well aware that our forum would be nothing if it wasn't for all of you posting as much quality information as you do and for that we thank you!
To sign up, click [HERE]
Below are a few sample screenshots showing some of these features available to Club Members.

We appreciate your support! All funds go towards paying our monthly server costs and maintenance fees (and maybe a few aspirin here and there whenever I have issues and spammers to deal with).

Nice work Kal !
When you are looking at the CurtPalme.com forum index page can you now block forums you might not have any interest in such as HK mods and links to Amazon.com ?

"unneeded info forums"...
I speed-read that as "UFO forums"

Sorry, no - that would be a bunch of per-user custom coding plus testing. Sorry. Simply too much work.

Awesome! Signed up for two years for the price of one. Great timing too, my membership would have expired tomorrow. Now my membership doesn't expire until just before 2012

Exactly. As AR said Unidentified Forum Objects
JMO but if you want people to pay to play make it worth the money....
THE #1 reason for club membership for me is and I quote :
Club Member benefits:
* No ads at all.
Amazon deal alerts come to mind but if Amazon has the best price I will most certainly buy just about anything including high ticket items using this forum as a referral for forum revenue...

FYI: Someone asked me how to sign up for more than one year at once.
You can't do it at once: Simply order more than once.
Every payment automatically adds one year to the membership.

Paid up until May of 2011. Hopefully I can hold out on upgrading that long.
I suppose I could still hang around even after I switch.
