I have an xbox360 with a VGA output (I have an adapter that splits out all available outputs for the 360). I am fairly certain my Zenith 900x (which has RGBHV inputs) will support 1280x720. The only high def device I have at the moment is my 360 and I would like to begin using it on my projector instead of my computer monitor.

Would a VGA to RGBHV cable work for this application or would I need a transcoder? I know this can be done with a pc but I am not sure that the 360's video card can produce the proper signal.

I am trying to avoid purchasing a signal converter if possible as this is the only HD output I have available right now and do not see myself being able to afford the full HD package from my cable provider anytime soon and I personally don't believe blue-ray is worth the price.

I'm running my xbox directly into my marquee via the VGA cable which feeds into an rgbhv breakout cable... No problems at all..

BR isn't worth the price on a PRO 900? Man, you're missing out! Smile

The Zenith should lock to that signal, just feed the RGBHBV signal into the Zenith, select RGB and it should work fine. you'll most likely need to reconverge the new memory location though.

Not worth the price because I couldn't afford to buy more than 1 or 2 blue-ray movies a year and the video rental stores here have horrible blue-ray collections.

Where is "here", Hooty?

Where I live, there definitely isn't a great selection of BD, but with Netflix or Blockbuster and a 2-out plan, there are more BD movies available than I could ever possibly have time to watch.
