I wouldn't trust any atom processor to do 1080p, but that's just me. I'm guessing it's relying on dxva to handle the processing.

That's my feeling too. I don't see a big cost advantage either. I still use analog audio, so I would also be concerned with the quality of the sound card, which I think is limited to 5.1 channels. The power consumption and size are both attractive features, I'll admit.
