My HT room is not large enough for blending..Crying or Very sad

If it was, I would consider going blend. I'm spending the next two days with a triple blend on a curved screen. And because I spend so much time on multi-display setups, it would only make sense to have one myself. Especially since i get to see how awesome they can be. And know first hand the benefits of going blending.

There's absolutely no way to get a better HIGH Performance image from a large screen without blending. It's the ONLY way to reproduce and produce NATIVE HD on a large sceen. And if you're able to go 1920x1080P /72hz on a very large screen, blending is the only way to be able to fully and properly resolve that resolution on the larger screen sizes.

Hey Jeremy, why not just start a dedicated Blend forum here..Very Happy keep ALL the blend stuff together.

I agree mike, splitting 1080p@72 between two PJ's is awesome, no strain at all on the PJ's

Someone asked for Kal to start a dedicated Stack/Blend forum but i don't think he'd do it. But it would be nice. as the PC based solutions are more affordable and I am sure used dedicated Blend scalers will become available also or the price of PJ's gets so low the cost that one would have spent on a decent Pj say 3k can now use that on blend units and use two cheap 8 inch units as a starting point.

I suggested that to Kal but he didn't think it was necessary. He suggested a sticky instead. So that's what I did for the "Blending with a PC" thread.

Some more : Also i decided to show to some who might not know what Edge Blending is exactly, so i shut off each PJ and took shots then with both on.

Ok now here is the edge blend demo pics each is approximately a 1.3 (1064x800) image with the edges faded by the Tv-One C2-2250 processors, one for each Projector fed my a moome MUX-HD hdcp stripper.

And now Both Projectors on for the full 2.40 image

Arg...That was one of the first movies I ripped, I didn't include chapter information...I'll have to re-rip it sometime....I think the HD-DVD was transfered from a 70mm print...That's why it looks so good.

yeah great cinematography, you can still see some of the imperfections of the film in the transfer. like lines and black dots, i love that look!

It is a great film especially if you are F1 aficionado. The cinematography is great, but the story is kind of lacking.

Ok I finally got some colored HD 145's to put into the longbows, Redid convergence and some Geometry tweaks and decided to watch the Foo Fighters in Wembley Stadium.
Awesome concert and great footage. 86k fans!!! So i had to take some screenies, only thing is this is 1.78 material and i still don't have an input for that so its cropped top and bottom.

And then a little Jimmy page and Jhon Paul Jones Visit !!!

say Athanasios, any chance you have a screeshot of the windows desktop @1080p.
I am considering a blend if I will have better text readability.

Right now I am working on color calibration again, I found out how to finally add my Lumagen HDQ before the Blenders, so i bought one more to be able to control 11 point gamma for both PJ's independently. But I think my probe is not reading correctly , i am sending it back to Spectracal for the LED add on and while there they will look at it for accuracy.

Transferred from 70mm like Baraka? what's the name of it? I saw Baraka recently and it made me question the point of tweaking my setup any longer. It looked that good to me, and that was only at 1080i no less! Very Happy
