Hi Kal...I finally got a little time to look around for some different emoticons that will work with phpbb. You might (probably) have already seen all this.
BTW...haven't said it in a while...thanks for all your hard work. The site is growing by leaps and bounds thanks in no small part to yours and Curts efforts.
This is a page with downloadable zips of emoticons from the phpbb site.
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/catdb.php?cat=22
This page is from a regular in the phpbb forum who's just nuts about emoticons. Some funny ones...some pretty lame.

Thanks again Kal...I hope you can find some new ones to spice things up a bit.

Hi Greg.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've seen the first sets you mention (they're on the 'official' phpbb site). There are quite a few... The second link doesn't seem to work as most of the pictures are the same.
I have to say though, I've never been a big fan of emoticons myself (especially ones with too much motion). I find they 'cheapen' a site, but that's just me.
What do you rest of you think?
Kal

well used emoticons can relay the "feeling" of sentences better IMHO.
I had a good collection of custom ones i used on MSN. Then my employer banned it and now i'm forced to use Yahoo which does not allow custom emoticons.
I can send a few of my favs to you Kal.
I totally agree to the large motion ones. i do like yahoo's ROTFLMAO though.

I like the ones we have already too. A few new ones along the same lines would be nice though.

I believe that every one of Cliff's posts should be accompanied by one of these ones.
