I think newer LCOS pj's are significantly better than the Ruby and the Ruby bulb is $800 vs the newer pj bulbs that are $250.
Newer LCOS pj's actually let you adjust panel convergence and have built in processing for animorphic lens setups.
I would replace the Ruby instead of changing it's bulb based on that. (But,... I only go by what I've read on the subject.)
