Traceroutes will not necessarily reveal intermittent issues. Also, trace by domain name as that includes DNS, which could also be the issue.

Very true. I gave a bunch of your IP's to the host company as they wanted to do some more testing.

I don't think it's a DNS issue. One day I had the problem, I tried the IP address and still couldn't get a response from the server. When I went back to check half an hour later, it was fine again. Whatever the issue is, it seems to happen for only very short periods of time... as in 5 minutes.

I haven't had the problem lately to do a traceroute.

BTW, whenever it seemed that the response was hanging for the forum, I never had a problem reaching Curt's main webpage. I do not think its the IP addy that resolves to the second level domain.

Nope. The transit times were really good, too (<30ms). It like the server is sleeping.

A couple of times here as well, mainly from work and not as much from home.

Chris.

Just now I got timeout errors for 5-8 minutes, about 11:25 to 11:30pm EST. The rest of the internet working flawlessly at the time. Browser: Firefox 3

Hope this helps!
