Have any of you watched The Pixar Story on the nd disc of the Wall-E Blu-ray? There are a few clips of earlier Pixar films in HD.

Yes! I've seen all of the NTSC DVD's so many times that when I watched that documentary on the Wall-E Blu-ray I was blown away at all the extra detail and the quality of the image for those older movies. Can't wait to see them on Blu-ray!

Kal

P.S. "The Pixar Story" documentary is fantastic too. I'd easily pay $20 just for that.

I'll second that Kal! I've watched the whole thing twice.

here are some not so realistic screen shots, as these hardly represent what I am seeing on the screen. What I see is much better!
Projector: Sony 1251q w/ 1200hours
Screen: 2.40:1 BOC cloth 111"x47.5"
Source: Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player
Transcoder: X2VGA2

300 hd dvd 1080i

Big Lebowski HD DVD 1080i

All photos were taken with a panasonic tz5 point and shoot. Some have been adjusted to raise the brightness up to represent a closer to screen like image.

I guess I should have posted my new shots here, eh? Embarassed

Particularly given the Pixar theme. Anyway... from last night:

These are the first ones that I thought match the quality of what's on the screen mostly. I'm really in a can't-wait-for-the-day-to-be-over-so-I-can-watch-movies mode... Thumbs Up

These are on a 9PG that was a pretty rough and very temporary setup (and the shutter speed was wrong):

We watched The Fall in our movie group here last week. None of us had seen it before. Everyone loved it!, Especially the women.
Worth a look.
Here's a few screenshots...

Just finished repairing the 9500LC Ultra, and it's SMOKING..Very Happy

So with that, I'm going ahead and setting it up because it's time to get back to screenshots. I may even swap out the lenses to HFQ 900's.

The attached image is from my HTPC showing the best I could do with my camera directly into the lens. The HTPC is running at 1920x1080P 72hz.

Outstanding Peri! Like the fact too you posted them a large 1300px wide...the smaller screen shots tend to hide imperfections.

Ok, here's my first attempt at doing some screenshots. Please be gentle! I resized them 50% before posting, they were BIGGGG!
