Hi All
I've just followed the excellent calibration guide and after a few runs have obtained good greyscale and colour calibration results in ColorHCFR. Unfortunately whilst the grey scale looks great the colours look pretty terrible so much so that I have resetted the CMS to standard settings.
Can you advise on what might be the cause?
I am using a eye-one display 2 coloremeter, dve hd basics disk and the AVSHD709 disk (for the colours).
Thanks

Hi Kal
Firstly, thankyou for such an indepth and well written guide.
Foolishly I don't think I saved the 'before' colour figures but I remember the Delta E were well above 10. Will record tonight and post. I've included the HCFR results for the 'after' config.
Not sure if this is a factor or not but it seemed to be impossible to get the x/y value to change for the blue. Also, tint did not have any effect on the calibration - I assumed this is because I was connecting via HDMI (PS3).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

Hi
Bit of an update (if anyones interested!) - would like to hear peoples thoughts.
When tuning the colours the Y value changes when tweaking the x and y values (via hue and saturation). The guide states that if the Y value changes I should leave the x and y values as they are. This mean't that the green was way off on the CIE and seemed to be messing everything else up. So to address this I set the x and y values and the changed the brightness (of that colour) to keep the Y where it should be. This seems to have sorted the problem as my DeltaE across the greyscale and colour are all well below 10 and mostly under 3.
Have I done something stupid here??
I also turned off xvYCC.which seemed to be messing things up too.
Please share your thoughts - would be grateful to hear from the experts.
Cheers

Hi
Attached is the CIE diagram for the calibrated display - as best as I can get after a couple of passes. While whatching Sky SD and HD the skin tones look a little washed out to me and on the orange side of things.
Thoughts and comments welcome.
