I remember the days of workspaces where they had highscreens (widescreens turned 90º) for use with full-page page composition work.

For Dual Video Cards you have to be fairly knowledgable about bios setups.
If you are going that way - check the message boards - and get a setup that has been run before.
At least thats what I did and i tend to stay within brand to reduce the incompatability issues,

I have a 24" widescreen and a 20" on my desk at work.
I do CAD on the widescreen, and read/write documents on the 20".
CAD is fantastic on a wide monitor - and I stick the part and model navigators on the 20"er as well
And my 24" CRT monitor at home is better for watching video,
You need the right tools for the job

Mark, I agree. I use Visio a lot for network drawings and always drawing in landscape perspective.
