SOLD.
I have 4 Sony wired remotes for 12xx projectors. They all work great.
$11.00 each shipping included to lower 48.
$13.00 each shipping included to Canada.
Or, make me an offer for all 4.

I've bought some wired remotes but I wanted the wireless
You can't make a wired remote wireless because some parts are missing, the driver transistors, some resistors and IR leds are not mounted.
Also there is no IR 'window' in place and no battery connection supports.
I think you can use a wired remote for spare parts, but no more then that.

Yes they are easy to convert
The best way is to find a cheap RM-PJ 1044 to use for the parts
The RM-PJ 1044 has all the parts you require to change the 1271 mounted remote into an IR remote
That is exactly how I made mine (and it works great)
add Q3 & Q4 from 1044
add R7 120 Ohm from 1044
add R8 3.3 Ohm from 1044
add R9 3.3 Ohm from 1044
add R31 100 Ohm from 1044
D2 & D3 Infrared diodes from 1044
fit control S out and IR cover from 1044
Remove CN1
fit battery springs and wires from 1044 you will see where they came from
use battery cover from 1044 and the bottom buttons cover and top buttons cover from 1044
It will be exactly the same as RM-PJ 1270 (only thing missing is the switcher index slide switch)
You can use standard surface mount parts and an old remote for the IR diodes
If you use standard transistors BC457 will work just a tight squeeze.
And I am sure Wallace wont mind you hijacking the thread.

Go for it!
I think I might have found a couple more. I'll post a new thread if they are good.
