I managed to snag myself one of these babies the other day for a fat $0.00. 300 lumens, 480x234, and 100:1 contrast all the way!
So, what should I do with it?

Use them as a porch light.

Takes five minutes to start up. Not really optimal for bringing in the groceries...
Unfortunately the lamps are only rated for 1k hours, so I can't really use it for an almost-always-on thing (ie, huge clock in my office). Even if it's only got a couple hundred, it'd only last a bit more than three months if I used 8 hours a day.
I could also try to get fifty bucks for it on CL... fire it up in my HT, do some magic with the colors and take a screenshot that makes it look like a G90...

You know it's too bad you didn't get 4 of them. You could have done a horizontal/vertical blend and had a sweet 960x468 picture happening.

Certainly there must be door somewhere that needs propped open or a boat that needs anchored.

I'm not sure how much of a score this is as you probably won't be able to sell them, so you've not got the responsibility of disposing of them!!!

Eh, you can GIVE anything away. Plus, I'm starting to amass quite a collection of digital projectors:
1993: Sharp XG-H400
1997: Pioneer XG10
2002: Benq PB6200
2004: Mitsubishi HC3
We've got three tiny XGA Hitachi projectors hanging around work, but I haven't officially filched one yet, so it's not on the list.
Now all I need is three more CRT projectors to make it even... I kind of regret getting rid of the 1271 now.
What I really want to do is get a video splitter and make a monstrous stack of all of them... muahahah!

What, in form factor? Yeah, you can see the pic on the projectorcentral link. Big mother (for a digital, anyway). It must have been one of the really, really first digitals out there. Oddly, you can still buy bulbs for it, for $200 to $300... I wonder how many of those get shifted.
