Hello,

I have a Marquee 8000 that has the H.Fail error code, so I'm looking to buy some boards for it. I need especially an HDM, and probably a CLM, VIM, and a LVPS.

Thanks!

You da man Athanasios! Thumbs Up I might incude an F board too. They can cause the dreaded 'powers up OK but no tube output". And they're relatively inexpensive. So much so it doesn't make sense to build a backup parts inventory without one. JMO.

I have a cheap M8000 CLM & HDM:

I donated a M8000 VIM to Ralph, but it didn't help his M8111, so he can pass it on to to you.

The only other thing on your list was LVPS, but I donated that to William's stack after a failure at his last meet.

Yes - I still have Clarence's VIM and will send it off to you but you can include something extra for Clarence (that's between you two)

I got my Moome Box back from Taiwain, so after a couple months of no projector its working again, and syncing fine at the moment on both component and HDMI inputs to the Moome box. About 10 days ago I was going to snipe an 81110 parts machine on Ebay - (it went for like $50 and as far as I know worked but had a lot of dust on the lenses http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=130260773739 ); but the wife weighed in heavily against (she wants a light bulb). So as per my original plan I am just going to keep trucking and hope my pj stays working. Its got 17000 hours on it and 9 rated tubes so why switch?

One thing you may want to try is pushing up the two boards mounted between the CRTs -the one on left was the cause of an H-Fail light I had early on with my 81110. I have the covers taped up tighter now per advice on board (I suppose this is a more likely cause if its ceiling mounted like mine and most others)

My pj is still on the ground because I just picked it up. I tried removing and cleaning CLM, HDM, LVPS, HVPS, and VIM. Still no go.

Must be a bad board.

I beleive it was the HDM in my case (reseating which solved H-fail ) - but it wouldn't hurt trying to reseat the other (Focus board) as well

I did reseat that as well. I resat all the boards so many times, they must of thought I was playing musical chairs......okay that was lame.

At least I'm getting a good tour of my pj even before I can watch it. Now if something else goes wrong in the future, I"ll have a little bit of experience in troubleshooting.

By the way Ralph, do you have that VIM still that Clarence gave to you? Just in case the problem is in the VIM, it would be nice to have another one to swap out.

Thanks everyone for helping out. However, my pj took an unexpected turn for the worse when I found out that it is the worse Marquee model ever made. Thus, I will be parting it out instead. No sense putting a lot of time and some money into something that is known to be unreliable.

Thanks again.
