I also ordered back on 16th two remotes and would like to know, if there is a tracking number?

I got mine in 5 days. US to Canada. I programmed it for my RCA RPTV and got everything working EXCEPT the hard volume buttons. Is there a trick to that?

There are several Barco configs for the TSU2000 and it uses the same freq range as the TSU501. I know there is a conversion program called Pronto2Neo but I've never played with it. I'll check it out and you might do the same. There should be a way to enter the codes manually.
Also, here is a quick tip on the learning. Don't ask me why this works, it just does.
1. Put the TSU501 into learn mode
2. Point the teaching remote at the bottom of the TSU501
3. Hold down the key on the teaching remote and keep it down
4. Press the key you want to teach on the TSU501 3 times quickly.
This usually works the first time.
The book also recommends that you vary the angle and the distance from the learning ir sensor.

A couple of things. Try the trick above. Also, are you trying to teach the volume buttons on a "device" that you set for rf?
If you set a device for rf, while your on that device you cannot directly transmit ir signals. You have to use the freedom edit software to program that button to access the ir button on another device. Then it works perfectly.

Correction. After a full reset the remote says the Barco codes are being successfully copied but still not working on the projector ?

Check to make sure the device is set for ir mode and not rf mode. Next, take a digital camera and point the remote at it. When you press the button you should see the ir flashers flash. If they flash it means the remote is outputting an ir signal.
Also, pm me your e-mail address and I'll send you one of my old config files. I had my pronto working on a barco 708 and i still have that file. I think the barco remotes are all the same. Any Barco Gurus in here can correct me if I'm wrong.
I take criticsm very well.
Hardly ever cry.
**EDIT** The config file I had is labled Barco but they are Sony control codes. I'm not sure about the Barco. I know you can download barco configs for the TSU1000 and it has the same frequency range. I'm looking into conversion programs.

It's an IR remote. I just went through the list of codes and found the ones that work with that set. The on screen buttons work ok but the hard ones don't . I'll try the leaning trick.

My mistake. I thought you had tried to teach the remote and it learned everything but the volume buttons. 99 times out of 100 you won't need to use any speacial trick to teach the remote. Just use the standard learning technique in the manual.

Got the remotes yesterday(took 17 days!) and did a quick setup for basic home theater functions. The remotes work really well and send RF out to my RCA brand IR blaster receivers. I no longer have to point the remote at a specific spot to control components. Deluxe!
Took me a while to figure out the Freedom Edit software, but I did use it to set up most of my devices the way I wanted them. I got a G70 code set from remote central and with a few modifications was able to use it for my D50.
It is kind of overwelming at first trying to decide which controls will go on what page, and how they should look, but the software makes changes easy to do.

Glad you like the remote! Freedomedit is a pretty cool program.
Once again, I'm very sorry about the intial shipping delay. Demand outstripped my ability to supply for a little while. Everything ships out immediately now.

I was able to find the Barco RCU800-PCF files but it looks like the remote only likes NCF files...

The RCU800 is a RCA remote. The config file with the correct codes is for a TS1000 or TSU2000. I know Neohacker will let you edit a TSU-501 NCF file and paste the correct codes. Pronto2Neo will convert TS1000 codes to TSU501 codes. I just haven't found out how to pull the codes out of a TS1000 ccf file yet.

It appears that the remote also does not work with my Toshiba HD DVD player. The remote says it has learned the command same as the Barco but no response from the Toshiba.

Looks I just have a problem with this particular remote. My Toshiba HD DVD configuration files did work properly on another TSU501.
