My brother has a GV47L. He has had it for a year now with no problems. Yesterday he was cleaning around the TV and accidentally yanked the coax while it was attached to the input. Needless to say it ripped the connector right off the board.

I have looked at it and probably could repair it. But I was wondering if any of you guys know a good source for Vizio parts. I would rather just get a new input/tuner board and be done with it. If it's not too expensive.

The part # I need is: 3647-0012-0150(5D)
Model # is: GV47LFHDTV10A

I have googled to no avail. There are some old ebay listings, but I couldn't find any source for parts.

Maybe some of you tech guys could help?

Thanks,

C.

I couldn't tell you how many times I've had to resolder those connectors back in from the same issue. If your talking about replacing the tuner, you still have to unsolder it to replaced it with another one. If your talking about replacing the whole board then thats where it gets expensive and would still be easier and cheaper to just resolder the old connector back in. Ive even had to repair damage to the board where the connector was ripped out, and its still easier to repair what you have then try to get parts to replace things. But I'll check my sources for the numbers you posted.

thanks mac.

That part number is for the whole tuner/input board. Not the tuner module on the board.

If it is outrageously expensive, then i will probably just fix it myself. I'm just lazy. Laughing Rolling Eyes

Well unless you can find a used part or a broken panel to take one out of, here's how much a new one is: Mr. Green

Maybe that will help you decide what to do................... Shocked

A little cheaper here: http://www.partstore.com/Part/PTS/PTS/364700120150/New.aspx

Have you contacted Vizio? I bet they could probably help you. What was he feeding through the Coax? If its OTA DTV then get an external box and use Component or HDMI. If its something else then explain, please.
