|

My Theater is going into a seperate structure that had been a Photography Studio put in by the previous owner.
Service to this structure is 100 Amps & I have decided that a new loadcenter is the first order of business.
It will be moved outside due to a sink that is in close proximity. No joy in Mudville!!

Mark, are you going to keep it at 100 amps, or will you bump it up a bit? You should really post some of the new pics here. I think the guys will get a kick out of it. You definitely have one of the most "Tim Allen" projector mounts I've ever seen.
Besides, it's high time you let the cat out of the bag so that everyone can give you the "you suck!" that you've had coming for a while now.

Uh... Spill!!!
I think 100A for a dedicated HT is plenty, unless you also need to run electric heat or a central AC unit off the same drop.
Perisoft, that fan kicks ass! Did you just google it?

Not ready at this point in time to either pay for a new drop or dig up & replace the line coming from the house. It does not have the diameter for a larger gauge wire.
100 Amps is going to have to do for now.
This is Texas so the room damn sure has AC. Now heat we could do without!!
Just bought a Cutler Hammer CH42B200R Loadcenter so I have plenty of capacity future expansion.
42 circuits & copper bus bars sounds good!
Ridebreck,
I have very few strongsuits & posting pics is certainly not one of them. I would appreciate you posting a few if you get achance.
I still have not heard a solution to my liking for my white ceiling conundrum.

I'm going to re-send you an email. I accidentally deleted your pics yesterday when I was cleaning up my inbox. If you'll re-send them to me, I'll post them for you.

Oh-Tay, here you go folks. Witness the power that is to be the first and only blend setup in the DFW area.

Cool Pics, thanks Matt!!
I know, I know the PJ's are reversed. Takes 10 minutes tops to take them down & up in the corrected orientation.
Really dig the winch & caddy!!
I thought Terry had labeled tha case parts so I paid no attn. to Right & Left markings.

As I have said before I am a fan of the TVone model 7312.
From what I saw at NAB it is much, much easier to operate.
I was (& remain!) horrified at the complexity of getting an 8022 to perform at peak performance.
Granted nobody at William Kosmanns meet had any time with the unit other than Gino, but it was very troubling & humbling to watch our best & brightest be totally reliant on our Australian visitor to sort out the ways of the 8022.
I knew then I was way over my head.
One oddity about these 2 machines is that since they left Terry in Alpharetta they have never been moved or crated, shipped by anyone other than me & I was as gentle as possible. You put a high premium on a smooth landing when you have 350lbs of PJ's at head height behind you.

What Size screen are you going to use? Right now I have a 16x9 12 foot screen when stacking or single use of 8500's I want to keep the the size I am used to for 16x9 so the only option was to go Wider to keep the same Hight and size for 16x9 material, so I think 14.24 feet is going to be my final size for the Blend. I have a spar 9500LC and will be looking for a second. My [plan is to use the 8500's till they need retubing then swap them out for the 9500LC's that will be in waiting hopefully that will be a few years down the road when I can get a 9500LC for a couple hundred bucks !!!
Athanasios
BTW Awesome set up so far !!!!

That SnoMatte is 144" in width. The diagonal is around 157" I think.
Only other thing of note is that a VP50Pro will soon be able to feed the 8022 an HD-SDI signal.
The 8022 seems to be very fussy about how it is fead.
Case parts that are missing.
I have one panel X 2 not currently installed on either PJ.
Problem is neither look at all alike in terms of size or shape.

Mark is gonna look like Smilin' Bob for a while. We won't be able to chisel the freakin' smile off his face. I can't wait to see this thing once it's set up.
