This is the first time posting on the audio area, I usually hang out in the CRT forum, I have an oportunity to bid on 6 Bogen TCB 250 amps. I thought if they are a quality, clean sounding amp, I could utilize my PC pre-amps and set up a theater sound for a fairly large size room. Is there anyone out there that knows how good or bad these amps are?
Thanks,
Larry

I've installed a lot of Bogen amps, but am not familar with that one. Tried googling it, not much came up. Got a pix you can link to?
THe 250 usually means 250 watts RMS. Not sure if these are mono or stereo amps..

thanks Curt, yes they are 250 watt, and they are mono, don't know anything else other than I had no luck with google either.
I'll take another look at them next week.

Take a look at the Bogen HTS or HTA 250. THose are convection cooled monoblocks that Bogen has made for years. Not redesigned (much) since the 1970s or so. Bulletproof, designed for use in hospitals, schools, etc. Not really designed with HT in mind, but like I said, built like tanks, so for running subs or something like that, they'd be fine.
I'm guessing your models will be similar to the HTA 250 or whatever the model is:
