Yes you probably can, component would be of much better quality then S-Video but downloaded movies are so compressed they most likely will not look very good on a large screen.

Actually, they look really good. I have a 85" 16x9 screen and the netflix downloads look great. I'm using the VGA out instead of svideo though.
