Face on construction
Face on construction
Title: Face on construction
Description: Actually, my son reminded me that we needed three pieces of all-thread to make sure the Plastiwood conformed properly to the insulation.

I think the order of construction was:

Paint the Plastiwood perimeter
Cut the insulation to size
Cover it with material-glue to the back with 3M spray glue
Fix down some blocks with nails to pre-form the outer wood hoop
Slide in the fabric covered fiberglass
Slit the fiberglass about 1/2 way through to accept the all-thread
Insert the all-thread and screw on the little brass nuts on the end
Now it's formed in place
Spray in the Great Stuff sealant. Let it dry and trim.
Silicone the entire assembly to the wall
