How to make your own speaker cables
Title: How to make your own speaker cables
Description: I made my own speaker cables using Home Depot's 12 gauge (bi-wired to get down to 9 gauge) CL2 in-wall rated oxygen free copper speaker wire. Because of the distance involved (almost 60' per speaker) I found it important to get the gauge as large as possible. A/B tests with expensive 6' cables yielded no differences so I'm happy!

I add some flexible braided sleeve and shrinkwrap to make them look like expensive boutique cables!

Seen here powering the center speaker (bi-wired).

Photo was taken before the front speakers were all wrapped with black velveteen to eliminate light bounce from the screen. With the velveteen in place the speakers completely disappear when the lights are down.
