UPDATED: Projectors for sale list

Our projectors for sale list has been updated! We’ve got a lot of new sets in for this listing, the website has been updated and there are many high end 9” sets here. Contact us if you wish to make a purchase or for more information.

(4) Barco Retro 808 projectors: Only 4 of these left! These are CRT projector chassis that were used in rear projection video cubes. These were all used in the same place, and all have about 3000 hours on them. No visible wear on the MEC tubes (retro sets all used the rebuildable MEC tubes, not the Sony ones), with special short throw lenses that will shoot about a 50” wide image maximum. I’m selling these for far less than I normally would, $750 per set. At this price you can convert a front projection Barco 808 set to LC (you’ll need to source lenses that will give a larger image), or buy these sets as spare parts for an existing unit that you might already have, or buy these for the tubes, which can be dismantled out of the LC housings and installed into standard FP mounts. Your choice. I will be picking these up next week, they are currently in Seattle, and I will most likely be scrapping a few of them for parts and for the tubes. There are some pictures of these sets on our forum here.

(1) Sony D50: If you’re looking for a small projector that is bright, a late model and is easy to set up, look no further than this ZERO wear Sony D50. Digital convergence, 800 lumens light output, it has a built in transcoder so you can plug your DVD or HD box into the back of the set with no need for external transcoder boxes. The case is in nice shape, the ceiling bracket is included as is the original Sony remote. $1600.00

(3) DWIN 700: Similar to the Sony D50 projector above, I have three DWIN 700 projectors in stock that are in great shape. Virtually no tube wear, one has 400 hour tubes in it that I took out of a defective Barco 700. Virtually silent operation, one of the smallest CRT projectors out there. c/w factory remote and a ceiling bracket, these sets use sharp Toshiba tubes that put out 1000 lumens. Excellent operating shape.

2 sets have very light wear on the tubes, maybe 1500 hours worth: $1200.00 each
1 set with zero wear 400 hours tubes: $1500.00

(2) Marquee 8500: I just got these in, and all have minimal tube wear, I’d rate the tubes at an 8/10. excellent shape, 1080p ready, cases in good shape. Fully functional, ready to go. $2000.00 each.

(2) NEC 9PG Xtra: One small step below the NEC XG Series, these sets ae in as new condition, no tube wear, Astig control, can be run at 1080p with no issues. Point boards installed, in great shape. $1800.00 each

(1) Barco 1209s: I have one of these high end sets left. These were originally SEOS curved screen projectors, and came from the Johnson Space Center. I’ve installed mint tubes into the set, the green one is brand new, and there’s zero wear on the R and B tubes. The case is black, and the sets are 1080p and beyond capable. The case on this unit is black, and is in good shape. GT 17 high resolution lenses are installed on this one. Another excellent deal for a fully ready 1080p projector! $6000.00

(1) Barco 1209s: As is, left set for curved screen use, good red tube, bad G and B tubes, no lenses $1500.00

(1) Vidikron Vision One/Marquee 9500LC Ultra: This set is identical to the Marquee 9500 LC Ultra with a year 2000 build date, with some extras. First off, I’ve added a Moome HDMI input card for 1080p plug and play. I’ve also added a red C lens. These red C lenses are now discontinued, so I managed to get a hold of three new ones, this set has one of them. Finally, the Vidikron set comes with a gorgeous piano black finish fibreglass case that added thousands to the original price of the set. The case is in really nice condition. I’ve got a foam lined large shipping case for this unit as well, that will protect the piano finish case well. Finally, I’m throwing a ceiling bracket into the deal! Remote and power cord included of course. Low chassis hours, this set was installed in a home theater, not used in a commercial application. Since I have a bit less into this set than normal, I’ll reduce the price of the unit significantly, and at $7000, this is one heck of a deal for state of the art 1080p performance!

(1) Marquee 9500 Ultra: Under 600 original hours on this set! Mint condition everything on this set, zero wear of course, perfect performance as expected. Ceiling bracket included. $7500.00

(1) Barco 909: These have been selling really well, and out of the 5 from the last mailout, I only have one set left. Blue cases, not the boring old black ones, these look really sharp, both case and picture wise. Zero tube wear, perfect working order. c/w remote and nice shipping box. Case is in great shape. These are still a current Barco model, and Barco is asking about $40,000 USD for these. Well beyond 1080p ready, the chassis is completely reworked from any other Barco set out there. As a bonus I do have some spare parts for these now that I will keep in stock. $10,000.00

I’ve received 25 Barco 708 and Cine 7 projectors for parts. These came out of a simulation environment, and have text wear on most of the tubes. Unfortunately, most of the sets were damaged in transit due to a poor packing job by the trucking company, but the good news is, I’ve got a lot of parts available that I am now selling for cheap. If you have a Barco 7XX or Cine 7 series projector, you might consider picking up a few spare parts, as these parts are priced for less than if I repair a board. I also now have 25 quadruplers in stock for the Barco 800/801/808/1208/1209 projectors. These quadruplers are getting hard to find, and do fail from time to time in any of the BArco projectors. Again, it doesn’t hurt to have spares…

Email me with any parts inquiry, but I’m testing all of these Barcos before I pull them apart. A couple of the sets might have decent tubes, and if so, I’ll be listing them in the next mailout. The three sets I’ve pulled apart so far are in good working order save for text wear and scrapes on the cases and lenses.

Displays at all price ranges are affected, from PC monitors to expensive high-end home theater projectors like the JVC RS1 shown above. The only way to fix these deficiencies on displays such as these that do not include a CMS is by using the RadianceXD!

The HDfury2 solves all original HDfury issues, including:

A few source devices have issues handshaking with DVI-D (hdcp) devices such as the original HDfury, requiring the use of an HDMI switch between the source and the original HDfury.
 SOLVED!  HDfury² uses an HDMI input instead of DVI-D (hdcp) granting compatibility with all HDMI sources including those that could not handshake properly with DVI-D (hdcp) devices.

Some sources like the Denon 4308 receiver could not handshake with an incomplete CEA861 EDID extension block causing issues with the original HDfury.
 SOLVED!  The HDFury² CEA861 EDID extension block is compliant to latest Rev. D.

The picture is shifted to the left on some displays when using the original HDfury and it could not be centered within the display's adjustment range. Use of external device such as RTC2200 or Box 1020 was needed.
 SOLVED!   HDFury² doesn't shift the picture to the left. It is perfectly centered at all resolutions.

Some sources do not output enough current on their digital output pin#14. Use of external power supply was needed for the original HDfury (either Wall Plug or USB).
 SOLVED!   HDFury² consumes 160mA less current while running at 1080p compare to the original HDfury. HDfury² supports more sources out of the box without requiring the use of the power supply.

Some users reported their original HDfury ran "hot" after many hours of use.
 SOLVED!   HDFury² unit runs 1.2w cooler at 1080p than the original HDfury.

The original HDfury is unable to run long analog cables on its output. ex: Displays with VGA cords is problematic.
 SOLVED!   HDFury² can run longer analog cables on its output (to approximately 25-35 feet).
