This unique HDMI converter activates your HD-ready display for full high-definition viewing. It allows you to view high-definition (HD) content and DVDs on your existing projector or HD-ready TV. The HDMI signal is converted to component (YPbPr) or RGB (user selectable) with virtually no degradation in quality. It works with any source that has an HDMI output: HD-DVD, Blu-ray, Playstation 3, Xbox360 Elite, DVD players, etc.

BoxHD is plug-n-play with no extra steps required. It can be used for all standard TV formats: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 576i, 480p and 480i. All standard frame rates are supported. The input mode (RGB/YPbPr) is automatically selected as well as the correct SDTV/HDTV color space.

This converter has a full dynamic range for maximum details in the picture for all input modes. There are no missing black levels in the output (no black crush) with standard YCbCr/RGB inputs.

RPTV FRIENDLY!  It has been tested and confirmed that the BoxHD component output will not cause image shifting as has been noted on some other HDMI converter devices!

BoxHD connects to your display in one of two ways:

• For component (YPbPr) displays: Through a standard VGA-RCA break-out cable (included!)

• For RGB displays: Through the 15-pin D-Sub VGA connector

• HDCP compliant: When input is HDCP encrypted (protected) the component/RGB out will be turned off.

• Stereo high-quality analog audio output (though for most setups you should simply route Toslink/SPDIF from the source(s) directly to your receiver)

¹ HDCP is not supported. If the HDMI signal is HDCP encrypted the output will be turned off. Also depends on your TV capabilities:

• Check your TV for HD component/RGB input support. Some TV's don't support HD analog inputs.

• The output resolution is the same as the input. E.g. 1080p HDMI in -> 1080p analog out, 720p HDMI in -> 720p analog out.
