is right for me?
The X-Rite Chroma 5 is a quick-reading colorimeter with far more
accuracy than other colorimeters. The Chroma 5 offers excellent low light level
measurement capability, and it is appropriate for use in calibrating any video
display technology.
An excellent match for the CalMAN Video Calibration
Software.
CalMAN's meter profiling allows Chroma 5 users to
achieve even higher accuracy. Using CalMAN's meter
profiling, you can profile your Chroma 5 against a spectroradiometer (such as
the X-Rite EyeOne Pro). CalMAN compares the
differences in readings, then allows you to automatically adjust what the Chroma
5 records as if it were the Eye One Pro.
The Chroma 5 is manufactured and calibrated by the Gretag Macbeth division of
X-Rite Incorporated. It is calibrated at the factory with a reference instrument
traceable to a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) source.

Reviews/Testimonials
"Got my package today. So fast on the shipping. I just paid the other
day. Nicely packaged sharp looking unit. First impression is quality. Nice job
with the custom packing insert all velvety and such. First rate. Can't wait to
get this hooked up and going. Nice job SpectraCal. Thanks for the great customer
service!" - Ray
"I used last month's sale opportunity and got a Chroma5, calibrated my RS1
with it, to great results. A lot more accurate than the EyeOne LT I had before,
especially at low light values, where the LT was dancing all around the bull's
eye - frustrating. (The Chroma5 does that a bit at very low light values as
well, but to a much lesser extent, as it is still "workable" even then.) After
using the Chroma5 I must agree that it's a deal even at its non-sale price.
Seriously. What a great little toy." - Scooby
